He has over 30 years of corporate experience in areas of Human Resource Strategy building, aligning Human Resource strategy to corporate strategy, People Development, and Internal Communications
After spending over a decade in the corporate world in HR, he quit his position as General Manager HR, Blue Dart Express in 1994 to pursue two of his passions- people development, and film making.
Today he heads CETC a training content development company and also facilitates programs involving senior management - not only in leading Indian organizations but also for companies in Romania, UK, the Far East, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. He has immense experience in facilitating workshops in the areas of Vision Mission Value articulation and translation, Business strategy emanating from the Mission, Performance and Competence Management, and Leading High Performance Teams. He has worked with organizational leaders in senior and middle levels in bringing congruity in thought and actions.
Few years ago CETC went into a joint venture with an English company called ICAS to provide Wellness and Wellbeing services to the Indian corporates. The company provides a 24/7/365 telephonic and face to face helpline to assist members of an organization to get professional counseling services.
Under “In Betweens”, his film production company, Vasu makes educational and training films, (has conceived and developed numerous training videos for a number of organizations including ABG, HPCL, ACC, HLL, Pepsi, Marico, Dabur, Bharti Cellular etc.)- and the occasional advertising film for NGO’s. His recent films have been in the area of Behavioural based safety for truck drivers for two large corporations, in addition to AIDS and Substance Abuse for the same audience.
He conceived and directed the first of its kind Indian management film “Chanakya Speaks - Seven Pillars of Business Success” last year, and it is available in all leading bookstores.
He has produced and directed three films on Prevention of Sexual Harassment @ Workplace recently.
He has a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from XLRI, Jamshedpur, (1983).
Vasu received the Gurukul Chevening Scholarship at the London School of Economics and Political Science for a programme on Leadership and Globalization, and taught at the LSE at the same programme.
